A little about me

My approach is client centered with a depth orientation. I strive to meet all my clients and their families where they are at developmentally, emotionally, and experientially with an open heart. A depth perspective allows us, in our work together, to connect the dots in your experience and provide the healing insight that provides the roadmap to make meaningful change in your life.

I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples in life transition, and children and their parents. I believe that cultural empathy is a real skill, and being able to hold space for clients in this way is particularly important to me. I acknowledge the impact of being a person of color, and feel particularly drawn to clients who have that same feeling of being an outsider.

I am a graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies with a MA in Integral Counseling Psychology. I received my BA, summa cum laude (and many moons ago), from Duke University in Economics and Cultural Anthropology. I did my practicum at Social Advocates for Youth in Santa Rosa, CA, and have worked in private practice in Sonoma County since 2020.

I came to this path in mid-life with the desire to offer the transformative experience that I received myself in individual therapy. I am the child of first generation immigrants, a former urban dweller and corporate retail executive, married into an agricultural family, a fertility assisted mother, half of a bi-cultural partnership, truth seeker, and devoted friend. Therapy changed my life and gave me the courage to be the self I have always wanted to be. The opportunity to support you and your family in deepening your life's experience and reclaiming the meaning that is your birthright is the honor of this work for me. I look forward to hearing from you.
